The suggester says; "I think it's just awesome." That it is, from the contacts to the density of the blood, very striking portrait.

i am not usually into the whole horror and macabre theme, but this photograph is so full of emotions, i just can't take my eyes of it. it's not the blood, it's his face that captures it, the macabre is more like a background, a story behind the real point of focus.
the tangled, imperfect, slightly bland hair, the irregularities in the facial expression, the sorrow in his eyes, the almost trembling gesture of his hands - even without the crimson-red eye colour and the blood spread all over it would have been a photograph to hold on to.
though i have to admit, the macabre theme is done more than thoroughly as well, i can't even really tell if it was manipulated so well or if it's actually been real blood used in the shoot until i read the information attached. it's looking very natural.
on the other hand i am not that overly impressed with the eye colour. i can't really tell if it's simply just too much or if there is some of that depth of expression lacking in them of which there is so much in the rest of his face, it just doesn't seem right. perhaps a cold storm-grey shade would do the photograph more of a favour, with more intense silver lines in the iris instead of that black irregular 'frame'?
overall though i think it's a brilliant photograph and it brings meaning back into the often so plain and spiritless horror and macabre section.
okay, first off quite a dramatic peice, i feel that the blood/gore is used possibly too much, though i like the tear marks. I would personally not of used red contacts/edited the eyes either. though keeping with the theme of red, black and white i can understand why, but maybe a blue could of been more startling and no one wants to see pretty eyes cry.I feel this could of had more texture, ie, bandages to give the feel more of an intensity so that the person viewing would want to know why the wrist ect was hurt. Rather than, has she eaten someone? which may be the thing your going for, though considering the name is mortal heart maybe its just a visual for being heart broken :3 i dont know, you should tell me :3
anyway, hope this helps.
Good luck!
